ITINERARY

 

Day 1 

 

Barcelona

You will be able to know the impact of Climate Change thanks to the guided tour of the city where the guide will give you surprising data on how it is affecting the city and the population, and what measures are being taken.

You will discover the greenest areas of this urban city. You will know a surprising side of the city: strolling along paths and trails through Montjuïc or Collserola, you will be surprised at how much nature can show you about its history: the origins of Montjuïc, centuries-old trees tell how the people of Barcelona survived difficult times, or who are the new flying inhabitants of the city and what impact they have on nature.

You will end the day tasting local gastronomy, with products from the port of Barcelona.

 

Day 2

L´Estartit

After breakfast, you will be taken to L'Estartit. In the Montgrí Natural Park, the Medas Islands and the Baixter we find a landscape of incomparable beauty.

But the effects of climate change have also reached this Natural Park, causing a change in everything that comprises the seabed.

You will visit a sustainable diving project involved in the recovery of the seabed. The Medas Islands marine reserve is a true paradise for divers from all over the world with a wide quantity and variety of its underwater fauna and flora.

You will visit a project involved in the recovery of the population of cuttlefish and squid on the Empordà coast.

At night you will have free time to enjoy the area.

 

Day 3

Ebro Delta Natural Park

You will take a train from Barcelona to the Ebro Delta Natural Park. A sustainable and comfortable way of doing this journey.

You will visit one of the most important observatories in the Ebro Delta Natural Park, the Swarovski viewpoint, located over the lagoon and the rice fields of the Riet Vell Nature Reserve. It is the only viewpoint with closed access.

Here you will learn everything related to Climate Change and its impact on birds and other fauna of this unique protected natural area. Your contribution with the visit to this observatory will be compensated with gastronomic gifts from the area.

You will enjoy the rice fields and the traditional way of life. You will enjoy an ethnographic and natural Eco safari where you will get to know the various ecosystems of the Delta del Ebro Natural Park, its ornithological wealth, and the knowledge of its people.

The morning will end with a workshop preparing rice with products from the Delta and then enjoy it as lunch.

In the afternoon, you can enjoy free time to visit the area and taste the gastronomy.

 

Day 4

After breakfast, you will travel to L’Amposta station and from there return to Barcelona by train.

End of the trip.
