ITINERARY

 

DAY 1

Madrid

Visit the city by electric bicycle. You will get to know the city, visiting different "neighborhoods" such as the old center, Lavapiés, Malasaña or Chueca and the Royal Palace, the Plaza de la Villa, the Plaza Mayor and the Gran Vía reaching the large urban park Madrid Río.

Taste delicious tapas in Las Letras neighborhood. Forget the typical tapas and taste the special ones, inspired by the classics.

 

Day 2

Tablas de Daimiel National Park

Your local guide will explain the current situation of the Park due to Climate Change and all its impact in the present and a supposed future.

Enjoy free time to continue discovering the area on your own.

Taste typical and traditional cuisine from La Mancha at a local restaurant.

 

Day 3

Jaen

Andalusia, one of the regions that will suffer the most from the climatic effects. Olive groves of the area are an excellent protection tool against Climate Change

Visit the olive fields and an ecological warehouse. Taste the liquid gold and enjoy a meal of local products.

You will have free time to discover the area on your own.

 

Day 4

Sierra Nevada National Park and Granada

Visit the Park and learn about the effects of Climate Change and learn about the mitigation and adaptation projects that aim to curb this instability.

You will be taken to Granada.

Visit the Albaicin Neighborhood. Visit one of those houses to enjoy a private flamenco workshop where you will learn to give those Andalusian claps.

The night will end with a DINNER with views of the Alhambra and local products.

 

Day 5

Tabernas Desert Natural Area

After breakfast, visit the Solar Platform of Almería. A first contact with the cleanest and most abundant source of energy: the Sun.

Learn about the topic of desertification and all its effects. The abandonment of crops are the previous step to the desertification processes.

Enjoy free time to continue discovering the area and the gastronomy on your own.

 

Day 6

Malaga

In the morning, you will enjoy a guided tour of the city around the climate emergency, to see the impacts, understand the causes, understand the connections, and experience the solutions.

In the afternoon, you will enter a beach cleaning project, seeing first-hand how to act in the extreme situation of the presence of plastic on the beaches.

At night, you can enjoy local gastronomy and local wines but, above all, the tradition and culture of southern Spain with a dinner at an emblematic winery.

 

Day 7

After breakfast, you will start the return by AVE to Madrid.

End of the trip.
