ITINERARY

 

Day 1

 

Granada

 

When you arrive to Granada, you will meet your local host who will show you your hotel and take you to a very special flamenco dinner party.  

 

Overnight stay in a charming hotel in the Albaicín neighborhood.

 

Day 2

 

Granada

 

After breakfast, you will visit the unique Alhambra. This World’s Heritage Site is Moorish stories heaven. After lunch, you will visit other areas of the city and enjoy a flamenco dance workshop!

Day 3  

 

Lanjarón

 

After breakfast, you will head to Lanjarón, where we can see the restored Nigüelas oil mill turned into an interpretation center and walk through the limestone cliffs that channel the Torrente River through the Acequia de la Pavilla.

 

After recharging your batteries with a superb lunch, you will enjoy a relaxing massage in a thermal bath.

 

In the evening, you will have dinner at your traditional but modern accommodation, enjoying a relaxing and comfortable moment amidst nature with indulging gastronomy.

 

Day 4 

 

Capileira

 

After a good night sleep and a fulfilling breakfast, you will head to the Poqueira Valley, where you will take a guided walk through the traditional villages and the most astonishing clift in the Alpujarra region.

 

After an interpretive lunch experience, you will visit a workshop of jarapas, a textile handicraft shop that manages a local artisan.

 

Dinner and overnight stay will be provided at the same rural hotel, located in one of the highest populated points of the Iberian Peninsula.

 

Day 5 

 

Pitres

 

After breakfast, you will head to Pitres, stopping on the road in Busquistar and Mecina, to have a little cultural conversation about the importance of these places. Lunch today will take the shape of a locally-sourced picnic.

 

At dusk, you will get some warm clothes to have an astronomical experience with a local guide, learning and enjoying the clear sky of Sierra Nevada.

 

Dinner and overnight stay will be provided at the same rural hotel after the activity.

 

Day 6 

 

Láujar de Andarax

 

After breakfast, you will head to Láujar de Andarax to visit a jamonera factory to learn the history of the oldest hams dryer of the Alpujarra and taste its exquisite delicacies.

 

After lunch, you will visit an eco-winery where you will also have a wine tasting.

 

Dinner and overnight stay will be provided at a charming hotel member of the European Charter for Sustainable Tourism.

 

Day 7

 

Terque

 

After a superb breakfast, you will get your walking shoes on to head over the cultural route of Laujar and Fondón, a riverside path with abundant vegetation and fertile land. A

 

fter recovering strength with a picnic of local Alpujarran food, you will visit the Terque Museums, 5 different museums with the same goal: to preserve the cultural and natural heritage of Terque.

 

You will get transferred to Almeria to stay in a modern local hotel.

 

Day 8

 

End of services

 

After breakfast, you will be taken to Granada airport to link with your next destination or flight home.
